About the School
Buckman Film Academy is a school started by filmmaker Sarah Nagy to share her passion for film, writing and art with children. Buckman Film Academy offers children's film/video classes which integrate every aspect of film production from storyboarding to shooting and editing and in every genre from animation to dramatic works. For three years in a row, a BFA produced project has been a winner at the Annual Young People's Film and Video Festival at the Portland Art Museum. A project from 2009, "Snags" played at Tiny TBA 2010, part of "The Works" time-based arts festival in Portland, Oregon.

She holds art residencies through Young Audiences and the Right Brain Initiative.
Sarah is currently working on developing a television series, a series of comedic animated pieces and is an active volunteer at Buckman Arts Focus Elementary School where her two sons attend school. She dreams of someday producing her own video on youtube that will get a million hits.
